Thank you for your wonderful presentation at the Backwell Camera Club; I thought the pictures were beautiful. |
| Jill Kaye 17/11/2008 |
I have just been looking at your website, amazing. I started off
doing a search for the best time to photograph the seals at Donna
Nook, saw some of your photo's and clicked on the link to your
website.

Thank you for the very interesting talk & brilliant photos of birds in Lesvos, which everyone seemed to enjoy (Exeter RSPB group - ed.). Keep us informed of any new talks in the future as no doubt we would like to invite you back. |
| Liz Saunders 13/11/2008 |
Your talk to our
Group was really excellent and the slides were outstanding, it was
an excellent evening!
(Exeter RSPB group - ed.) |
| Louise Moulton 23/10/2008 |
I enjoyed the talk that you did about the Alaskan Grizzlies, thank you. |
| Leslie Clifford 25/10/2008 |
Many, many thanks for coming to our meeting last Monday. We all really enjoyed your presentation and admired your work; envying your opportunities of travelling the world with your camera on your shoulder and your naturalists knowledge in your head. (Maybe we might find your equipment on our shoulders rather heavy and cumbersome, however!!) |
| C Brooks 05/10/2008 |
Just been to Donna Nook to check out the seal area but was unable to see any and no pictures taken. Just looked through your seal photos and was amazed by the quality...well done mate. |
| Mary Hill 19/01/2008 |
Thanks very much for an excellent talk (18/01/2008 at Bristol Naturalists Society Ornithological Group) - it was much appreciated. The turn-out was better than for the usual AGM. I will get to you next month re a second instalment. |
| Alan & Felicity Down 19/01/2008 |
Felicity and I really enjoyed your talk last night (18/01/2008 at Bristol Naturalists Society Ornithological Group) and, as all speakers should, left us wanting more! |
| Adrian Davey 21/12/2007 |
Many thanks for the bean bag. I
enjoyed the Birds of Lesbos talk and photographs very much and look
forward to seeing you at Launceston Camera Club in April [2008]. See Adrian's images at Adrian Davey Bird Photography |
| Mandy Leivers 05/12/2007 |
Thanks again for a fab talk last night (04/12/2007 at Bristol Zoo). Your photos really are amazing! |
| Priscilla Dodson 14/11/2007 |
On behalf of the Vale of Evesham Camera Club, may I thank you very much for your very informative presentation on Monday. Not only did we see some amazing photographs of Grizzly Bears, we also learned about their habitat and some of those pictures were amazing. Probably the closest most of us will ever get to a real live bear! |
| John Barton 13/11/2007 |
Being new to the digital age I found your talk (Vale of Evesham Camera Club - ed.) last evening extremely interesting. My own favourite subjects at present are nature and architecture. I'm lucky to have around where I live and work many species of wildlife. Your talk last evening just encouraged me to be ready, as the moment doesn't last, unless you've caught it on camera as you did so well with your presentation. |
| Janet Deuchar 05/11/2007 |
Calendars arrived safely today thank you. Love all the images but if I had to choose a favourite I think it would be scratching! Hope you have enough left for next year - or you will just have to go back and get some more - another great reminder of our Alaskan trip last year. |
| Dave Horlick 24/05/2007 |
I look forward to seeing some of the photos on your return from Canada. I am very impressed with those on your website! |
| Neil Marshall 02/03/2007 |
Hi Oliver. What a great evening. I think it is one that will be talked about for quite a while. Your images were fantastic and I think Bob summed up what we were all feeling. Once again thank you for coming to Backwell. I am away for the next week but on my return I will contact you regarding a return visit in 2008. |
| John Nevill LRPS 08/02/2007 |
Great talk at Marwell last night. I've took the liberty of acknowledging it on my weblog. See John's superb images and weblog at EOS-Images |
| Javier Train 01/02/2007 |
I'm a Spanish birder and I saw your great photos on your website. I saw that you went to Lesvos last year in the first week of April and this year I'm going to Lesvos in the same week. |
| Martin Smart (aka Dad!) 20/01/2007 |
What a fantastic selection of new images from Fuerteventura. The background colours on some of them are amazing - almost as though you've selected the background to compliment the subject. Difficult to choose a favourite but I really like the two warblers, the shrike, bustard, goat (the first one of which I think would look really impressive as a large print) and squirrel and I'm rather jealous of your Sanderling as you got much better poses than I was able to get in LaJolla! Your description of their clockwork toy like behaviour is very appropriate. I couldn't get the little buggers to stand still for a second!! Most of my shots have them with their bills stuck in the sand! See Martin's images at Martin Smart Wildlife |
| Mike Smith 13/01/2007 |
Nick and I very much enjoyed your talk yesterday (Gloucester Naturalists Society at Cirencester). |
| Martyn Pearce 03/12/2006 |
I meant to email before now to tell you how much I enjoyed your talk at the Crewkerne RSPB meeting. |
| Sarah Chapman 20/11/2006 |
Thank you for a really wonderful talk on the Grizzly Bears of Alaska. I am sure everyone enjoyed it and were amazed at all your brilliant pictures of bears. You are obviously very fond of them. Do hope you will come back again. Crewkerne - RSPB |
| Claire Alford 16/11/2006 |
My husband and I very much enjoyed your talk this evening in Crewkerne. |
| Ann Freeman 03/11/2006 |
Thank you very much for the portrait of 'Audrey' (one of the bears - ed.) and for a wonderful talk at the Bristol Naturalists Society. |
| David Eaves 01/11/2006 |
On behalf of Solihull Photographic Society, I would like to thank you again for the projected lecture you gave recently. Your images were first rate and we all admire the patience and skill needed to get such pictures of wild animals such as Grizzly Bears. You put the images together very well and your presentation was very professional. Solihull Photographic Society |
| Peter & Margaret Preece 25/10/2006 |
We would like to say we enjoyed your talk on the Grizzly Bears at Solihull Club last night and have recommended you to Bracknell Camera Club nearer to your home. See Peter & Margaret's images at peterpreece.com |
| Janet Deuchar 07/10/2006 |

We stumbled across your site via Google. We really enjoyed it, especially the birds. You've got some really nice shots there. Well done! |
| Kit Day 27/06/2006 |
I am a keen photographer like yourself with similar Canon gear, and I very much enjoyed your site! The images from Handa were especially inspiring, as I visited the island a couple of times when I was younger (and without any camera gear!). See Kit's superb images at kitday-uk.com |
| Jo Dickson 21/05/2006 |
Your photos are very impressive. I would love to do something similar. I have been thinking about an ornithology course myself or a photography course. I love taking wildlife photos - mind you, the digital camera could do with an upgrade. |
| Kris 07/05/2006 |
Just a quick note to say how impressed I was at
your photos of the seals at Donna Nook. I dabble in poetry and have
posted a poem on a forum about Donna Nook - well it involved seals
and Donna Nook.
Anyhow I found your site whilst searching for a
link to show people. That's it really - Great Stuff, keep up the
fine work. Read the poem at

Very many thanks for such an interesting and enjoyable talk last night at Wadebridge. I'm so pleased that my fellow Camera Club friend, Adrian, told us about your presentation. All I can say, with envy, is WOW; brilliant and your website is great too! |
| Mike Hiscocks 19/12/2005 |
Well, I just came across your site and wanted to say how impressive it is. You have taken some photographs to be proud of, far better than sitting behind a desk all day! |
| Dave Nevitt 13/11/2005 |
As always, your photos are excellent Olly. Keep up the good work. |
| Dave Flint 12/10/2005 |
Just a quickie to say the pictures of the bears are up to your usual standard. My wife was amazed at the quality. I think there would have been a bit more handshake if I was that close to them. |
| Chris Orders 10/10/2005 |
Just seen your latest Grizzly Bears...Awesome! |
| Kate Churchouse 08/10/2005 |
Your photos get better and
better - stunning. Looks a bit scary though, don't think I'd have liked to be anything like that close! |
| Stuart Glen 07/10/2005 |

| Rachael Jefferies 07/10/2005 |
WOW! Great photos of the bears, I'm really jealous! |
| Paul Knauer 07/10/2005 |
Once again your photos are quite
remarkable! The bear photo is unbelievable. I do hope you are not putting yourself at risk? Well no more at risk than you used to be at fly half waiting on a hospital pass from Coxy - haha. |
| Ian & Annie Evans 06/10/2005 |
Your recent photos from Alaska look absolutely fantastic. Well done. |
| Martyn Pearce 05/10/2005 |
I was very impressed at your photographs and everything else on your site. |
| John MacKen 04/10/2005 |
The pictures on your web site are truly excellent. I can't wait to see your Alaska talk. |
| John Ward 25/08/2005 |
What I particularly like are the camera settings. I have just purchased a Canon 20D and it really helps to see how other photographers take their pictures. |
| Bill Baston 22/08/2005 |
Your website has some great images on it and looks very slick. See Bill's images at billbaston.com |

Excellent pics. I am new to this digital photography hobby and bird watching but am having a great time learning. It is great to see how/what others photograph and the image data provided is a huge help. |
| Bill Jesson 18/02/2005 |
Just had a look at your latest - I went to Norfolk in January too, and saw many of the same birds. Thanks for the images of the Redpolls and the Shore Larks in particular - brought back some nice memories. |
| Stuart Glen 17/02/2005 |
Really like the new website design. Hugely impressed with your Grey Seal shots from Donna Nook. Very envious that I didn't make it along... |

Nice to have a look at your website.

I have just had a look at some of your pictures, I followed the link from WebCT. I think that it's a great site, well done. |

We love the photographs on the website and will keep looking at it to improve our birding knowledge. |
| Chirs Orders 16/06/2004 |
Well now. You have certainly excelled yourself this time with your latest shots from Handa with Jim. In particular I enjoyed the photos of yourself in compromising positions!! |
| Verity Currie 14/01/2004 |
The site looks great. Could perhaps still do with a time, date and location stamp for each photo just as a reference. |
|
Nick Martin 05/12/2003 |
Great new look. Nice and quick for us
folk still stuck without broadband! Nice recent pictures too, really
love the waders and the mushrooms. |
