Smart Bean Bags are designed to work in tandem with your telephoto lenses or bird watching telescopes and are made from camouflaged fabric. They give superb support to your camera set-up and reduce vibration. They are designed with a split end to comfortably sit on your car window or door where you can leave your camera resting whilst waiting for your subject to perform!
Bags come unfilled and using the velcro opening fill with any available substance including dried beans, sand, polystyrene balls, bird food or even your clothing to create a secure resting bag. I highly recommend using bird food as you can use a little to attract your avian subjects and leave some as a thank you when you’re done. Take them empty when travelling abroad and fill on arrival at your destination.
Use your Smart Bean Bag for low-level photography, from a fence post or rock where a tripod would be cumbersome or unsuitable. A large strap has been strengthened for use with or without gloves and two strong polyester loops to allow attachment to your camera bag or shoulder strap.
Dimensions approximate and not including strap:
1) When empty: 27 x 20cm (L x W)
2) When filled: 24 x 23 x 12 (L x W x H)
3) Weight when empty is only 35g so very light for transporting.
4) Weight when filled with bird food is approximately 3kg. Use lighter fillings to help reduce the weight but remember the heavier the contents the sturdier the support.
